Love’n life

Man, I tell you this is really turning out to be a wonderful trip. We spent the day yesterday roaming around St. Augustine. What a cool city. One doesn’t really think of history when they think of Florida, but WOW! Guin fed squirrels at Nombre de Dios, the first church in the country. They call it “America’s most sacred acre”. We strolled the old streets of Saint Augustine and got a little ice cream and had a pitcher of cold beer and a great pizza for dinner. We must have walked 5 miles.

We were invited to spend a few nights at beach marine (http://www.jaxbeachmarine.com/) by Craig & Lisa. Craig has been following BlueSphere from the beginning. They have a 38’ Hans Christian and are going cruising soon with their young son Christian. It a really cool marina just off of the ICW check out their website. Craig loaned us his jeep and Sam, Guin and I took a drive down to the Publix for some provisions. I really miss my jeep!

We’ll spend a few days here. I have a few projects to attend to as usual and I’m keeping an eye on the nastiness brewing in the Caribbean ( http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ ). When we have a nice window my plan is to sail out of Jacksonville and make port in Charleston where my step-mom and sister will come for a visit. After that it’s on to the Chesapeake.

I’m really enjoying the ICW. I’m really going to have to find some work soon as October, and sailing to the Virgins is just around the corner.

Peace everyone.

Sail far and live slowly.
