Hurricane Fay

I’m breaking my #1 rule, “DON’T BE IN HURRICANE SEASON”! Check out Fays predicted track:

I’m keeping a close eye on it. If it’s looking like it’s going to hit it means a lot of work. I’ll need to take sails off, stow dinghies & motors, and do a lot of praying. I hate, I hate, I hate hurricanes!

I bought a bunch of Interlux Perfection paint and supplied yesterday. When I got back to the boat and started reading I realized that 2 part paint isn’t good for painting over wood. I’m researching using interlux Toplac & Brightside paints. The 2 part polyurethane is too hard and will crack as the wood moves with varying moisture content in the air. I’ll use the 2 part polyurethane on Splendid’s hull.
