Land and Sea

Stuck in the airport.

Well today has been a travel day.

I met my buddy Buddy at his parents house in central Florida. I spent most of the day hanging out on a dock reading and contemplating my future. I'm looking forward to going to sea for a few weeks to clear my head and put everything in perspective. It's funny…, my whole world changed last year in Tahiti when I decided I needed a bigger boat. When I think about what I've accomplished in the last year it's quite staggering. I've sailed half way around the world, made a 90minute film and bought a 40' ketch. All on next to no money. How the hell do I pull all this off?

Anyway, I'm waiting for a jetBlue flight to Porto Rico in the Orlando airport. I'm on a buddy pass so I may not be getting on the flight, it's full. I'm with Buddy who will be my one crew member to Connecticut (1,600 miles). I hope we don't get split up and can do the flight together but who knows. The last time I was in Porto Rico I was 14.

I really miss Splendid but the money I'm making on the job will go far.

I brought my sat phone and will be doing updates during the trip.

Cheers everyone.

Sail far.
