Freedom!!

Well I’m going back to Florida in the morning. My sister is healing up but may have to go in for surgery later in the week, it all depends on her xray tomorrow. It’s wild being back here at my Step Moms house. I haven’t seen it for 26 years, man I’m feeling old!

Getting away from Splendid has been good because it has forced me to focus on the bigger problems. The biggest problems are the things that are keeping me in port. Foremost is an autopilot and anchor. The autopilots I want are all 3-4 grand and just isn’t an option. I have a Raymarine ST6000 control head but need a drive and flux gate compass. I wish I could do a global search on craigslist but one can only search by city, not even state. If anyone knows of, or hears of a Raymarine linear drive for sale please let me know. An autopilot equals freedom right now. I want to be out of here and off to sea soon, I’m really craving for it! I’m still looking for a 60lb CQR and windlass. Once I return I need to go through my rig with a fine tooth comb. I just got an email from Wojtek. He found a crack in Namaste’s boomkin that could have potentially taken down the rig, scary!

I have to be honest about my feelings being back. I’m still dealing with the culture shock and feeling uncomfortable here. I cant believe what has happened to my sister, it really breaks my heart. If your around my age you might remember a commercial from back in the 70’s. It was of an Indian in full head dress standing on a hill. We saw a long shot of him looking over a city full of pollution. As the camera zoomed in we saw a single tear roll from his eye. That’s how I feel about being home, I’m sad.

I found a great website and would like all of my subscribers to reread the constitution, bill of rights, and declaration of Independence before casting their votes this election. (http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/ ) Republican, democrat, independent or other we need a good man in office more then ever, our freedom depends on it! Governments control people by dividing them (republican/democrat) and keeping them fearful (terrorists, communists, anarchists, killer bees, avian flues, Mexicans, blacks, whatever). Lets not be fearful this election. Lets stand tall and vote for freedom and Independence! We are the great American melting pot. We are all immigrants with the exception of the American Indian, lets not forget that and be grateful for what we have. I’ve seen poor and this isn’t it. I’ve always kept politics and religion out of Project BlueSphere. The only reason I’m bringing it up now is because I’m afraid of what is happening to my home.
