Bouncing back hasn’t been so easy the years are catching up with me. Tonga to New Cal was a really tuff run!
Ever since I’ve been in port I’ve felt run-down and not myself, not to mention spraining my ankle learning how to walk again. I feel like I’m a bit of a mess.
I went to see the Doctor yesterday. She pointed out a number of cuts and my thumb that wes infected. She also pointed out that my lymph nodes were inflamed and put me on some antibiotics. “Take it easy” she prescribed!
Today I need to drop off laundry and start cleaning up the boat. I also need to find a new VHF antenna as the large seas I experienced on the last trip whipped it off the top of the mast. I also need to find some tube for one of the aft scuppers and some stove fuel, I’m out.
Noumea is a really nice little city. I’ll post some photos as soon as I can. I spent a bit too much but went out for my steak dinner last night “Yummy”.
It’s weird being on a dock again, the last time was in Cartagena Columbia. People are so close and I can often hear them talking or just walking past the boat. It’s not nearly as private and secluded as being on the hook.
Cheers everyone.
Peace, Love, and Noumea!!!
