If I hadn’t sold Namaste I’d be spending the Cyclone season here, it’s AWESOME! Moorings has a charter business here and it’s easy to see why.
The anchorage here is really protected and flat. I had forgotten what a good nights sleep in a calm anchorage is like, it’s been months. The last time I was in a good anchorage was Daniels bay, in the Marquesas.
I spent the day roaming around town with my buddy Manu from “Old Manatee”. We went to the market, drank Kava, and I took pictures.
I’m going to hang out and rest for a week before taking the 1200 mile sail to New Cal. I’m also going to try and fix my radar mount again! Fuel is much cheaper here at about $5.00 USD a gallon, Nuie was about $12.00.
I’m going to try and upload some pictures this morning so check out the Palmerston, and Tonga galleries.
Cheers from Tonga.
