Weather

Boy am I glad I hung out for a clear day, It really blew like hell last night. The wind is coming from the North and making the anchorage a bit choppy. I’m supposed to get my Zarpe today which will give me 48 hours to leave French Polynesia. I’m planning on staying at the same latitude and passing Nuie (the smallest country in the world) and then Tonga at the northern most extremity. I may stop in Tonga for few days as it’s just about the half way mark to New Caledonia. After Tonga I’ll pass (Possibly stop) in Fiji before making a bit south in my course for New Cal. I’ve been watching the weather patterns and this looks like a good plan. I’m not planning on a fair weather trip and stowing things well. My trip to Australia from here is farther then the Galapagos to the Marquesas, it’s a long haul.

I’ll row to shore in a little while to go shopping and get off the boat for a few hours. I may hitch down to Cash & Carry, or possibly into town to stretch my legs on this grey and rainy day.

Cheers everyone.

Peace, Love, and lots of rain.

Alex
