Land and Sea

provisions.

Why oh why didn’t I find “Cash & Carry” months ago.

I found a supermarket over by the airport which is somewhat reasonably priced. I found boxed wine for around 5 bucks each; it also has a really nice Asian section which suits my palette. “Hitting the jackpot” though was finding boxed tofu. I got 20 boxes of tofu (great boat food). I find canned meats uneatable because of all the nitrates, and after eating so much fresh fish and sashimi, canned fish is quite unappealing. Tofu on the other hand is an excellent source of protean, and when you find it in a box you can store it at boat temperature. At sea I like to put a box of tofu in with a bag of ramen and bingo, easy dinner. I’ve spent around $300 bucks in provisions and I’ll spend a few more on fuel (at the fuel dock), when in Rome right?

Today I’ll spend cleaning the bottom, filling my dive tank, and organizing. I’m hoping to be off on Tuesday.

I got an email today informing me that I became a topic of discussion at the Latitudes & Attitudes cruisers party. I asked if good things were said. I’m told the consensus was positive however I’m referred to as a bit “crazy”. I’ll choose crazy over normal or average any day. I looked up “crazy” in the thesaurus and other words for “crazy” are passionate, wild, and extreme, I think they may be right?

Oh well!

Peace, Love, and Cookoo, Cookoo, Cookoo!!
