Vatina picked my up at 17:30 yesterday and we drove to the airport. My buddy Steve arrived without a hitch. Vatina made fresh flower lays and gave one to me and made two more for Steve, one for each of us to give him. I don’t know if you’ve ever had a flower lay but they really are wonderful and beautiful things. I got drunk from the sweet smell; I slept with mine and woke up to the most amazing aroma, big smile.
Steve and Vatina came to the boat followed by Aki and Oriana. Aki got me a really beautiful bone Tahitian necklace and Oriana baked me a magnificent Bolivian birthday cake. Vatina got me a really cool international translator (Digital dictionary), and Steve brought me two boxes of sunglasses. I asked him for a pair of cheepies from the states and he brought 40 pairs “You can always trade the ones you don’t like, I didn’t know what shape to buy” he said. He also brought presents from some of my Bluesphere friends. I got an awesome fishing reel; some needed tools, fantastic music from Jazz Fest and Cajun spices. He also brought my new monitor for Namaste’s computer. If I can just get my hands on my lost (USPS) Satellite Phone I’ll be in business. For a man who hasn’t had a wrapped present for many years I did really well. I must say I am very thankful today. I’m blessed with beautiful people in my life and I really do know how lucky I am. It’s taken me 42 years but I think I’ve dialed my life in pretty well.
Today I’m just planning on spending the day with my friends walking around town and smiling till my cheeks go numb!
In our crazy world let’s not forget what’s important!
Peace, Love, and Friendship!
