Pig

My guest was supposed to arrive yesterday. I was at the airport all afternoon but no guest. He sent me an email last night; he is on Nuka Hiva. I’m hoping he can catch a flight today, I’m really bummed he missed the pig roast.

The pig roast was awesome. I can’t get over how wonderful my new friends are. I took many pictures and video clips that I will upload from Tahiti. The evening was filled with great Marquesan food, laughter, and wine. It turned into a jam session with various people on the guitar, ukulele, flute, spoons, or just banging on the table. We all sang Polynesian, Japanese, and American folk songs. It was like a scene out of a movie cast upon a moonless star filled Polynesian backdrop. The air was laced with the scent of flowers, pig, and fire. I love this place!

Today I need to figure out how to collect Hugh, I hope he can get a flight.

Cheers everyone, I hope your weekend is as merry as mine.

Peace, Love, and Pig!
