Land and Sea

A gift

The cyclone has brought me a gift…, peace.

Today as how I envisioned sailing across the pacific. The sea was electric blue and the sky clear as crystal. The seas calm, and a slight breeze (8kts) pushed me along serenely.

My day was timeless.

I read, listened to music, played my guitar, and spend hours trying to reconstruct memories. Many of my memories have faded with the years and I want them back. If you consciously work at it you can keep them but the forgotten memories fade and I have lost many to neglect.

My SSB hasn’t been working well or propagation is really bad. I try and check in with my buddy Chris on Contigo every day, but no joy today, just static.

I expect tonight will be calm along with tomorrow. I only made 90 miles in the last 24 hours.

I got an email from a buddy who has made landfall in the Marquesas, he says it beets all of his expectations, and worth every drop of effort.

I just finished “Hannibal Rising”, and need to finger through my library and find another book.

I finished my last orange today, time to tap into the coconuts.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
