Breeze!

I sat in silence thinking about my thoughts most of the day. Around 14:00 I noticed a gentile breeze to the south east; I instantly shut down the motor.

The wind rippled over the glassy sea and I studied it for a few minutes.

I got the drifter out of the bag and hoisted it. It was only blowing 5 knots but it was a steady 5 knots. The drifter inflated and pulled Namaste through the calm sea at 3.5 knots. It has built a bit and is now 6kts and we are moving along at 4kts. Not so bad for this old boat.

I couldn’t sit still so I decided to knock out a project. I fiber glassed my inflatable floor boards together. Tomorrow perhaps I’ll paint them. It’s funny how my mood depends on the wind.

If this wind holds I’ll probably break one of my rules and leave the drifter up over night. If it builds allot the drifter can be a bear to get down, but you know…, I like moving.

I’m looking forward to listening to the weather conditions the other boats are experiencing ahead of me. We chat on 4036 at 00:00 Zulu.

It is so quiet out here. I can see so far today.

Goodnight everyone.
