Project BlueSphere

Land and Sea

New Ideas!

My friend Chris (SV Contigo) gave me some extra foam and I did a really nice job insulating the engine room door. The noise level dropped 20-30% in the cabin, but most importantly it deflects the heat and my companion way stays cool. I'm also having mast steps made. I struck a deal with a local welder (Ollie on Genesis) to trade computer help for mast steps, what a great barter! People helping people is such a nice system.

Cass and I have been spending some good time together however she sails with her dad in a few weeks, we are making the best of it. Her dad pays her as a crew member, pretty cool eah?

I can't believe it. In the past week I've received over $300 in donations, talk about saving my ass!

I've been a little bummed. Hawaii is not the path I want to take. I feel like my Pacific crossing is slipping through my fingers again and I have been doing a little brainstorming. A few people have suggested that I take Project BlueSphere to a paid subscription based platform, an update that would contradict PBS's sole purpose. Project BlueSphere is designed to arouse dreams, not add to monthly bills, subscription will remain optional. However in order to continue across the Pacific I do need a monthly income.  I could go to Hawaii, but Project BlueSphere would have to take a back burner to working every day. If I can get a few “optional” paid subscribers I will continue across the Pacific as previously planned heading for the Galapagos within the next 3 weeks then crossing to French Polynesia and working my way west to New Zealand for next winter. If you are a regular and would like to experience a pacific crossing with me please check out the subscription link below. If you're saving up your $$$ for your own adventure or cant afford it, please continue to enjoy the PBS experience for free.

I'll be off to the Galapagos either way after my parts arrive. I'll make the call to head for Hawaii or French Polynesia by March.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts everyone.
