Land and Sea

What?s in my ear?

Last night was pretty quiet. Cass & I watched Austin Powers, had some dinner, and turned in early.

Our food stores have been getting low. Gary & Mavis took my grocery list a few days ago via the SSB radio and magically showed up today with eggs, meat, cheese, veggies etc. Cass and I are heading over for a big Pargo (fish) dinner tonight; it should be a nice time.

I cleaned a bit of the bottom today. I scrubbed part of the water line, the rudder, and some of the hull. The current was quite strong and decided to finish later. After getting out and rinsing off with the bug sprayer (fresh water) I had a hard time clearing my ears. An hour after I got out of the water I heard a ”popping”(like soap bubbles) in my ears, it was driving me crazy. I asked Cass if she could pour some vinegar in my ear. I lay on my side and Cass took a capful of vinegar and poured it in my ear, she instantly blurt a scream. “OH MY GOD, A CRAB JUST CAME OUT OF YOUR EAR”! It was a little thing, smaller then my pinky fingernail. I was sure glad to be rid of it. I flipped over and guess what? There was another crab in the other ear. Next time I clean the bottom I’m putting cotton in my ears.

We had a little bit of sun today and went for a snorkel. I spent a few hours working on the DVD while Cass stretched out in the v-birth reading “Memoirs of a geisha”. It’s a beautiful day, I’m going snorkeling again to shoot a fish.

If anyone is interested in coming to visit for a week charter let me know.

Peace, Love, and ear plugs.

Alex
