It’s really nice to have internet, however the price is high. The anchorage here really STINKS!!!! I didn’t sleep all night due to the wind blowing from the west, and the current flowing from the south, ARRRGGGGG!!!!!
My friends on “ornen” bought a house on Contadora and told me to bring my laptop and laundry today (They have a machine). Doing 2 loads in a bucket is an hour + affair, and hard work. The locals do laundry in the river, and it’s quite the social event. Lots of gossip and water fights with the kids. It’s fun to join them and be the wayward gringo.
I really hope the swell relaxes and I can sleep later today, or tonight. I grabbed a mooring, but I’m thinking of changing locations, and putting out a stern hook.
I just got a message from Roger, he is buying all new chain (5/16 BBB), and I’m going to try and swing buying his old 5/16 BBB (300 feet).
