Mechanically separated chicken?

I was doing some cleaning yesterday, and for some reason, I read the ingredients of a can of “Treet” baked ham. The first ingredient is mechanically separated chicken, what on earth is that? Do they kill the chickens before they enter “The Machine”? The second thing I noticed is it says “Treet, Virginia baked ham taste”. Where do they get the taste? I don’t think I’ll be eating much more Treet “luncheon loaf”, YUCK!!!

Yesterday was a day of spinning wheels. I brought my outboard to the Yamaha dealer the day before only to pick it up, seeing it had not been touched. They said that the 2 screws I can’t get out is a “maintenance issue” not covered under warrantee. I said I should be able to take the cover off of my 5 month old motor (for the first time) so that I could perform my maintenance, they didn’t seem to care. The motor runs fine, I just can’t access it. I’ll try and put a torch to it in the islands and try again. Three hours of time and twenty bucks in cab fare down the tubes. Everything else I tried to do just didn’t seem to work out, so instead of fighting it, I did some writing.

There is a possibility my guest will not be able to make it on Saturday due to a Tropical Storm (Chris) heading for Florida. I’ll most likely be off in the morning anyway. I need to do a little more shopping today (fresh stuff), as well as take on a little more water. I’m hoping for wind, but it’s such a scarce commodity in the bay of Panama.

Peace, Love, and, Do they mechanically separate cows or are they to big?
