I ran the motor for 10 hours under load and no problem, even when it got pretty choppy. Maybe I finally have this damn thing licked.
I got up and left the Balboa Yacht Club at 5:30 this morning. I didn’t sleep well last night and really wasn’t in the mood to do anything, but I forced myself out of bed. After getting out of the entrance to the canal and navigating all of the freighters, tankers, & car carriers in the “Big Ship” anchorage I decided to shut my eyes for a few minutes.
Man did the wind pick up fast. When I opened my eyes it was raining in sheets and the wind kicked up to 30 knots, I did a quick 2 reef fire drill. Truthfully it felt good to be at sea again. The pacific is gentile (Most of the time) compared to the Caribbean, and I like a little excitement.
I’m back on the north side of Isla Contodora, it feels good to be in the islands again. It’s time to relax for a while. It’s a good feeling knowing my motor will never break-down again, NEVER : )
I posted a new video “Bad fuel” in the BlueSphere TV section of the site, or you can click on a link in yesterday’s log.
Tomorrow I’m going to do some shopping (food) here in Contodora, then probably head for Isla Ampon. I have some stuff for Chris & Maggie on “Contigo”, and I’m hoping to go spear fishing before the day is done.
I’m really looking forward for my charter (Dan) to visit, I hope he has a good time. All my past charters have been quite successful and I had a great time as well.
I know I’m behind on replying to a lot of emails, I’ll do that in the next few days.
Cheers everyone.
Peace, Love, and Sunshine!
