Life is getting out of hand.

In the past 3 week my bank (Washington Mutual) canceled my debit card (due to them changing from a visa to master card logo) and really threw a wrench in my life. My domain name didn’t get paid for, I don’t have access to the very little money that I have, and PayPal has decided to become “not Panama friendly” is how the supervisor put it.

Today I finally got my fedex but couldn’t activate my card because I need to activate it from my home phone. After a good deal of griping, I got it activated. But it is absolutely impossible for them to give me a pin number. I spoke to the supervisor, and even the “super-supervisor”. They asked every security question they could think of, and after answering them all, still no pin number “Sorry sir, it’s for your own protection”!

This is getting somewhat comical I thought.

Hummmmm, how to live without access to an ATM?

Paypal has put in new security measures to protect me from my own money. If your not in a “PayPal friendly country, no more international access, “you have to be kidding me”!

I can’t tell you how frustrated I am. Why are we set up not to help people who travel?

I tell you, one day I’m going to disappear in the jungle, and that will be it! I’ll build a “Tarzan” tree house, get a pet monkey, and maybe find a “Jane”.

Aren’t we supposed to be celebrating freedom & independence on the 4^th of July?

I can’t take it; I’m out of here in the morning. I can buy some groceries in Contodora when my friends show up on my debit card, but I will not have much cash for small items. I think I’m going to have to change my address to my friend’s house, cancel this card, and order another one, ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGG. Why can’t they just give me the damn pin number? Do you know I spent over $100.00 on my cell phone with my bank last week. It took the banker 20 minutes to take down my address here at the Yacht Club. Her computer wasn’t set up to accept 4 lines of address. I asked her “Can’t you just write it down on a piece of paper and deal with it after we hang up”? “Sorry it doesn’t work that way sir” “I know, I know, it’s for my own protection right”? “Yes sir”

Is it me or has the world gone mad?

I guess I just needed to vent in my log today, sorry, I just can’t believe that life in the system has become so….. dense!
