Land and Sea

Beware the water maker.

When I installed my water maker last year, I remember reading somewhere that you have to take vitamin supplements if you live on water maker water. The water maker does not let any minerals pass through the membrane as well as salt.

I went to the doctor a few weeks ago because I was feeling really down, “I’m just so tired all the time”! He took some blood tests, and it turns out I’m anemic.

I’m on iron pills & vitamins now, and in just 2 weeks I feel much better. With my new found energy I’ve been knocking out boat projects every day. Yesterday I re-bedded the scuppers which were leaking badly. I used black 5200 (it’s all I had) and it turned out to be a real mess.

I’m off to Colon (Not a nice place) today to visit a hardware store, and buy some food. My friend is taking me in his truck, and I’m going to get 20 gallons of diesel as well.

Hey…, I have a good boat tip. I was going to throw away my Dewalt 14.4 cordless drill as the batteries are over $100.00 down here and it was just taking up space. I thought about it for a while, made a 30’ cord with a cigarette lighter plug on the end of it, and soldered it to the battery connections. It works like a champ now, and no batteries to recharge. So if you have a spare 12, or 14 Volt DC drill laying around, don’t trash it, make it a corded Boat, RV, or Truck tool!

Peace, Love, & Coconuts everyone.
