Land and Sea

Back in Panama

Hello to all. Thanksgiving went well I replaced the turkey with lobsters & crabs, yummy.

I’m back in Isla Linton. Lupe and I ran out of everything in the San Blas. The wind blew like crazy from the west for 9 days, and guess where I needed to sail, yup, you got it, west. Why is it always like that? I hear that crossing the Pacific one can set there down wind rig and not touch the sails for weeks, WOW, that would be a treat. The trade winds should be around 15/20, and consistent from the east, YAHOO, that will be a blast, unless I’m in the doldrums of course. I’m starting my outfit. I need to install my solar panels, get new batteries, get a new computer & alternator. Fix my compression post, and go through the whole rig. I also need to stock the boat with food & stuff to last me the better part of a year.

I’m hoping to transit the canal soon, that should be really cool.

Hey I started writing for Latitudes & Attitudes, my first article will come out in the January issue. If you don’t have a subscription you should get one, not just to read my stuff and look at more pictures, but it’s a great magazine run by great people.

Lupe and I went and visited a great big supermarket yesterday, we have lots of yummy and fresh stuff to eat now.

If you have a few minutes and haven’t touched base with me yet please send me an instant message and say hi. I love talking to you guys through email.

Cheers all.

Peace, Love, and Coconuts.
