Everything is well in Cartagena. I´m feeling much better and starting to knock out some boat projects. I had my good alternator rebuilt, and put back on the motor. I also rewired my alternator cable to my battery switch, I wasnt able to charge my starting battery before.
Tomorrow I´m going to adjust my valves and pull the injectors for inspection, cleaning, and a possible overhaul.
I had kind of a scare the other day. I was backing down on my anchor at full revurse, and black smoke & carbon/oil was comming out of my exaust. I thought my motor was gone, but it ended up being excissive growth on the prop (over loading the motor). Two weeks in cartagena and the prop was full of barnicles.
My friend Bruce (My first charter in the San Blas) is comming to visit in a week. He wants to see Cartagena. And Daniella is going to Bogata, and off exploring Colombia. I´m kind of jelious as this is such a beautiful country. I´m planning to explore a bit of South America when I leave the boat in Ecuador around the first of the year.
Cheers everyone.
