Land and Sea

WOW!!!

All I can say is WOW! This really is living in paradise. I’ve lost track of time, and one perfect day is replaced by another. Lou and I have been living on coconuts, bananas, breadfruit, lobster, conch, and an assortment of reef fish. We snorkel 3-4 hours a day looking for food, and enjoy the quick showers each night to rinse off the salt water. We’ve gone to the Kuna’s a few times to trade things for fresh fruit. Yesterday we traded a container of mayonnaise for bananas & bread-fruit; I thought it was a great deal. Each morning I check into the Panama connection net on the SSB radio (8107 @ 8:30am). Namaste’s alternator quit the other day but luckily I had a replacement. The local cruisers have a garbage burning party on a nearby island on Monday nights. Everyone brings finger foods, drinks, and burns garbage; believe it or not it is very civilized. We ran out of cheese yesterday, and I’m looking forward to see how Lou does over the next week, she really loves cheese. If anyone gets a chance please go to the contact section and send us an instant “Irridium” message, it’s our entertainment, and connection to the outside world.

We’ll be going to Nargana in a week or so to meet a friend (John on little-wing), and we will be able to pick up some supplies and hopefully find some fresh water for the tanks.

Peace to all, and fair winds.
