Land and Sea

December 15, 2004

I’m sitting in the Miami airport waiting for my flight back to Cartagena. A funny thing happened to me on the way to Miami last night. I was in the Baltimore airport (BWI) 9 hours before my 6:00am flight to Miami. Obviously I was going to try and get some sleep. I stretched out on a bench, and covered my eyes with my great new polarized sunglasses to keep out the light of the airport. At one point I remember removing them and placing them on my chest so I could cover my eyes with a bandana. I must of dozed off for a few minutes because when I opened my eyes my new glasses were gone. Someone stole them right off a sleeping mans chest, MINE, can you believe it? It just reinforces my belief that bad things happen every ware. Everyone is so stressed about being robbed in other countries, but it happened to me last night in Baltimore. Merry Christmas I guess. I’m trying to figure out why it happened, and the lesson I’m supposed to learn from it. If you haven’t noticed by now I have a tendency to over-analyze everything to death, later.
