Land and Sea

Under Way

Not much wind, however I was able to sail some of the night & morning, about 50 miles. It’s Hot, Hot, Hot, I’m sweating all day and drinking lots of water.

The Alternator belt failed again, and I had to replace the alternator with my old one, I had belts for it. I pulled into Great Inigua, not much here but a flock of pink flamingos, and thankfully 16 gallons of diesel, I had to beg for it, and it cost me $50.00USD.

There was a Coast Guard cutter bringing in a boat of illegals, I tried hailing the cutter for some weather info, but they did not respond.

I was not able to acquire any fresh food or water; I think I’ll be good though. I should have enough fuel to motor almost half way to Panama/Cartagena if I have to, I’ll defiantly have to find some wind though.

The real adventure starts here, around 10 days at sea, no protection from the wind, or seas.
