Land and Sea

Rain, rain, go away!

Rick had the flu before he showed up and he’s still a bit sick. He says he’s still enjoying himself. Rick is buying a boat to go cruising when he gets back home, he’s pretty psyched!!!!

We crossed the bay of Panama (9.5 hrs) yesterday. The day was pretty smooth with the exception of me dropping my pillow in the water, I got it back. Dolphins followed us for much of the trip playing off the bow. They made sure we anchored safely off of Isla Contadora.

This morning we watched whales breach the sea just a mile away. After coffee we went for a snorkel. I shot a snapper and a small grouper which we will have for dinner. A white tip shark broke the surface just as we were getting back in the dingy, strangely close (about 5 feet away). He was just curious.

It’s raining and the water is murky as a result. I’m hoping tomorrow brings a sunny day.

Peace, love, and white tips.

Alex
