I know I’ve been quiet for a few weeks but I’ve had a guest.
We had a nice motor-sail from Linton, caught a big barracuda which fed us for nearly the whole time, and had some good laughs & discussions. We spent a fair amount of time with my Brazilian friends from “Brava” and had a little send-off party last night. We also invited John, a single-hander who is planning to cross the Pacific next year.
The weather for Michael’s trip wasn’t optimal and we had a solid week of rain and grey sky. Kind of a bummer but we got along pretty well. The rainy season has been mild and we are in the last few weeks of it. By mid December the trades start blowing bringing blue sky, good sailing, and fantastic snorkeling and spear-fishing. I have some friends coming out here soon and they seem determined to get Carla and I into kite-boarding ???
Carla came back a couple of days ago from Argentina and brought a ton of goodies. I’m turning out to be quite the mate drinker and got a new mate (cup), some good yerba (herb), and some yummy chocolates and spices. I’m so excited to go to Argentina one day. Carla brought back some picture-books of Patagonia and I’m crawling out of my skin to spend some time in the mountains.
I’m going to take a few days off to chill with Carla and my friends before they sail for Bocas Del Toro for a charter. Carla and I are planning to sail east deeper into the San Blas where we’re going to get back to some creative work making video, music, and words. She also brought back her electric bass guitar and now we have two acoustic guitars, an electric guitar , an electric bass, and a keyboard. If we get an electric drum set I’m planning on starting a cruising punk band. However, I may be getting too old as I seem to need more than one pair of glasses (LOL). I just thought it was a funny picture and had to post it.
Today we are going to a nearby island. Carla is going to try some surfing with her girlfriend and it should turn out to be a nice day.
Anyway I’ll be back blogging, posting pictures, and being my crazy old self. The “Season” here is about to kick off and if anyone is interested to spend a little time in the San Blas let me know. I have some packages in the states that I need to get here and I’m always willing to make a fair price.
Peace everybody. I hope everyone’s day will be as good as mine.

Wow, I feel like I had to hack my way back in to comment, web site would not let me in & would not send password. ( been along time since I had to sign in) User name did not change. The only way to get back in was to start over & reregister all over again.. Am I the only one ?? Alex you really started something here, still working the deal on the cat. Things got delayed a bit but hope to get it done soon. Been in this house since 1988 & got alot of stuff to sell that will not go on the boat.. Jeep, motorcycles, tools, amazing how stuff collects over time.. Maybe I will be on the boat for new years, anyway you look at it, my journey is just begining,, Thank you for the kick start,, Butch
Butch,
Part of the problem is PBS has grown so much the database is crashing. We are in the process of moving to a wordpress environment to fix these issues. Sorry for the hassle :(
Carla and I moved to our favorite spot in the boonies of the Eastern Lemmon cays, love’n all the space and privacy. Check out the spot page for a location.
