Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy :) This picture was taken this morning.
A rumor going around that the trades may fill in early this year. The last two days have been magnificent.
I took a dinghy ride through the mangroves yesterday to the French marina (Panamarina) to do laundry. They also have a nice little restaurant & bar.
After that I was so surprised to see good friends that I met in the Bahamas, We also spent time in Jamaica but parted ways after that as they sailed for Bocus del Toro.
I’m just about to post a video in a few days. And I’m going to do something I never wanted to do, I’m going to charge for it. It will be a buck and change, I only want .99 cents the rest will go to paypal. The system will be super easy to use and if you look at the top of my webpage you will see a “my account” button. Once you pay for a video you will always be able to watch it. I’m having problems surviving down here and want to get Splendid ready for sea. Actually, surviving isn’t the issue, it’s getting my girl ready to cross an ocean. I can survive off the reef and from staple items from the store no problem. I’ve been making bread a few times a week and really only buy eggs, potatoes, onions, garlic, dry beans, rice, and tea. I throw in a bottle of rum sometimes but it always seems to go too quickly. Why is the rum always gone?
I kind of have it in my head to sail North in March/April but i doubt it will happen. I’m becoming a little obsessed about visiting Portugal and Brazil. In the end I’ll probably get lost in the San Blas for a while, you know I break many of my own plans and in the end like floating around and just traveling when, and where I want to.
If I did head north I’d go back to Cartagena and see if I could point high enough for Puerto Rico, If not I’d make Jamaica, Cuba, an island or two in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Azores, and Portugal. Port wine comes from Portugal, and I love Port. After that I’d have to make a decision to visit the Med or not. If not I would continue to the Canary, and Cape Verde islands, and on to Brazil. Maybe spending the hurricane season in Portugal, the Med, or Cape Verdes? I also need to find out how long an American can stamp into an EU country?
I don’t know how many people have Garmin map source, but I’m going to try and figure out a way to post a file that you can download to see my waypoints and routes in map source. Once in Brazil why not do the horn for the Pacific? I need another heater on the boat and I’m searching ebay.
I’m ecstatic with my Mac book. I’m looking for a few programs (Acrobat 9 pro, and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 or higher). I cant figure out how to delete, the delete is actually a backspace, so if anyone knows the secret, please fill me in.
Anyway I’m off to work on the boat and get some sun.
Cheers everyone.
Sail far and live slowly.

Alex Do you having a shipping address? I have some boating supplies I think you would find useful.
Thanks, Scotty
You can delete by holding the first key to the left of the space bar, the command key, at the same time you hit delete. The command key also has an odd character that looks like five circles in a square configuration.
Also, If you look at the drop down menus located at the top of your screen, many key shortcuts are listed there.
Finally, mactipsandtricks.com is good for tips and there are many others.
Good luck.
Mike
Hi Alex,
I believe what you are looking for is fn+backspace, this will delete characters from the right of the cursor.
The command+backspace clears characters from the left of the cursor.

Ilha Grande Brazil is the place to go. Very pretty. I was there last Christmas. The problem is you need a VISA and it cost me about $120.00 with postage and all. I would hope people on boats don’t need one but my guess is they do.
scotty,
I do have a shipping address. I need to oinly pay for postage and weight from the states. I just signed up with a company called airbox express. Can you contact my by email? alex at projectbluesphere.com.
Fn delete eah? I’ll give it a shot :)
Fn Delete is the ticket, i have been using it all morning :)
I have finished a video to post and cant do it through my G2 network. I’m going to go to Colon in the morning to an internet cafe and see if I can do it from there, it’s 125 MB file.
Maybe if enough people pay to watch my videos I could buy a BGAN system, that way I could upload video from the middle of the sea, check this out:

My sat phone is good enough for text and that is what I used when I crossed the Pacific to update blogs the website.
cheers, and thanks for Fn Delete :)
