Sailing Georgetown Bahamas

I must say, I really like Georgetown. Georgetown itself isn’t much but Stocking island is great. It seems that the harsh cold fronts may be gone for the season and some moderate cold front are blowing through. The cold fronts provide good opportunity to sail south and east as they provide South, west, and North winds. I suspect we will still be here for a few weeks. Sam’s Mom is coming on the 27th for a few days and possibly Guin’s Dad in early April.

I hope Sam’s Mom comes more often. In the anticipation of her arrival Sam has painted both bathrooms, and I have painted 1/3 of Splendid’s deck and coach house. I’ve used a bit of the local sand for non skid which has come out quite nice. It is a bit aggressive buy I like the idea of more non skid then less. More aggressive non skid holds a bit of dirt and is not as pretty but we are not going to slip on the deck.

Guin is swimming and playing with her new friends every day. She really is turning out to be a little fish. I’m amazed at how much better of a swimmer she is then kids a few years older then her.

Anyway, I’m off to paint.

Cheers

Sail far and live slow.

  2. I am so happy to see you back in your element! The sand is a great idea. I use it for every non-skid occasion. My wife and I love the pics of Guinn! Just goes to show that water makes happy!
