I got back to Splendid yesterday. It is Soooo nice to be home.
Sam and I met her possible paternal father the other evening for dinner, it went really well. He is a really nice guy, really! He has been really open to this whole thing and interested in finding out if he is indeed Sam’s biological father. They did the home DNA kit after dinner and we will know the results in 3-5 days. in the picture they are swabbing their cheeks to get DNA samples. For his sake he should hope it comes back negative. He’s an amazing cabinet maker and if he is in the family I’m going to hit him up on helping me re-design Splendid’s master cabin. Sam and my bed is basically a single, it’s really a tight sleeping arrangement and only one of us can be on our back at the same time. It really is a “must fix” as sleeping can be tough in the heat. My plans are to widen the port birth, or take them both out and put in a center queen. I’m also going to build a nav-station and put in some extra drawers and cabinets. We have a lot of wasted space in the aft cabin and need more storage.
I’ve got some small projects going on today. Tomorrow I’m finishing up the WIFI install here at Beach Marine, and the following day I have an appointment at the Mayo clinic to have them check out my knee. It’s really been flaring up lately.
