Land and Sea

Finally a computer.

I’m still alive but don’t have Internet access. My laptop took in some sea water from a leaky hatch and has taken the big sleep. It will be difficult for me to reply to email and post logs for the next few weeks.

Buddy, Aras, and I made it back to Mystic in one piece after a solid Gulf-stream ass-kicking! We spent the better part of a day surfing down 25′ seas in a beautiful 42′ Swan, “Priceless”! I have to send out a big “Thank you” to Buddy and Aras, they were awesome crew. This was Buddies first off-shore passage and he did exceptionally well, I’d sail with him anywhere. Thanks guys!

Mystic is wonderful and I’m seeing allot of my very good old friends. It was really special to pull up to the Brewers fuel dock where this all started so very long ago. Mystic feels like home. I have to leave today as I got another job sailing from Norfolk to Ft. Lauderdale. It will be nice to have a few bucks for Splendid, she needs it!

I’ll get another computer soon. I’m waiting for Dell to release their $300 sub notebook in July/August. I do have another laptop on Splendid but with my lifestyle I allways seem to need two.

As far as the 2nd DVD goes I’m about to compress it and serve it through the Internet. Compressing Soney’s HDV format to standard def wide screen DVD is nearly impossible. The place that I’m working with may have found a work around and I’ll know in a few days. If they cant make it happen, I’ll compress the video to MPEG and send it out on a DVD and stream it through the Internet. You’ll have to watch it on the computer.

I’m hoping on a train today for Norfolk, I cant remember the last time I rode on a train.

Cheers everyone.

Peace, Love, and Mystic!
