These are stripped down notebook computers, often with all solid-state internals (no moving parts!) You can pick them up for $200-400 depending on CPU speed and memory size. They’re intended for web surfing and word processing, allowing you to save your laptop for the big jobs like video editing.

With the right software they’d make a perfect chartplotter.
