Click to view full size imageYou guys like my crew?

I'll be uploading a new movie tonight or tomorrow, it's a long one, about 15mins. It covers a bunch of fun stuff!

All is good and we are ready to leave. Guin is even asking if we are leaving every day, she seems really excited.

The canvas should be done by Friday and we will be leaving on the 4th, I think it's appropriate.

Man is it nice to have the solar panels going. I'm not even getting close to over charging and getting the full output of the panels. However I will install the new controller at Chuck's house.

This is like starting all over again. Leaving Mystic on Namaste was such a big deal for me. I'm so excited I can't sleep at night. Sam can't sleep at night either but it's more from stress. She is wrapping up so much in her life and this is really pulling the big plug. I was so stressed the days before I left the dock in Mystic. Wild questions ran through my mind. Where will I anchor or dock tonight? What will I do for money? Where will I go? I'm sure Sam is asking herself the same questions but I know she believes in this in the pit of her soul. Guin is really excited to visit "horsey island". I don't remember the name of the island but I told her we will be stopping in Beaufort (NC) where there is an island with wild horses. She talks about it often.

Well guys, I'm off to finish the video. I'm also going to try and get a news letter out.

Cheers.

Sail far and live slowly.

- Alex

Re: Motley crew!

It has been said that a man can only be a man, no more no less. Only if that man asks more of himself, can he be more than he was.
Good luck and safe passages.

Re: Motley crew!

The island you're talking about is Shackleford Banks, just SE of Beaufort (chart 11545: http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer/11545.shtml). It's a beautiful stretch of coastline and there's really good holding inside Lookout Bight. If you arrive after a storm, there's awesome shelling on the south coast of cape Lookout.

Good luck, do any of us truly know where we are going. Where ever you go there you are. I envy Sam's leap. W

Re: Motley crew!

You could also stop at Cumberland Island National Seashore...a barrier island in very south Georgia. Plenty of amazing wild horses roaming around there!

Re: Motley crew!

Dont know about Darrin???

Dave, thanks for the wine today, it's all good, really.

Man I'm going crazy trying to get this new video uploaded, hopefully tonight. I really wish I had one of those AT&T air cards. They have a really good deal at radio shack if anyone is interested. If you sigh up with AT&T data package ($60.00 a month for 2 years) you get one of those cool little Acer mini computers free. If I had the $$$ I'd do it.

All is good in the hood, just waiting to pick up the anchor this weekend :) We filled up the propane tank today.

Cheers all.

Alex
