Boat Emotions!! Rushing Back

I am going to take few minutes to gloat over my boat, (since I seem to have this forum all to myself)                           I just got her out of the garage yesterday and I almost forgot how beautiful my 85 Catalina 30 tall rig is. Chrissy and I climbed up and had a couple beers in the cockpit and the emotions just came rushing back to both of us,  we missed her dearly.  Just sitting in her healed a bunch of wounds we've been suffering with, ya know, sometimes when you get in a scrap with each other you may not realize it is because of something you are missing.                               Being out there "together", it's bigger than we might think, not at seperate computers, in seperate rooms, working and living, but, we have water in our hearts, we just need to be out on it!!  So back to the boat, after working at west marine for a season just before I put her away for 2 1/2 years (2 summers).  I too have a NEW ANCHOR :) a MINI frankenstien 22lb. delta, big new swivel, 50 feet of chain and 150' rode and all of that has only seen the sand once, every halyard is new, Entire mainsheet and blocks are new, travler lines & rollers, headsail sheets are new, all dock lines are new (10) white (4) green, new CD player and speakers with cockpit remote,15 of the little yellow velcro straps, a huge selection of elect. connectors & fuses, 4 new bumpers, 50 feet of floating dingy line (never been wet) and more stuff I can't think of right now.   She is really sweet.   I am the 3rd owner and  the second had her for 13 years and was admitedly anal on keeping her clean inside and out, she is all original other than what I've listed, I've had her for 8.  She has been stored indoors EVERY winter, not just covered up.  She is loaded inside too, stove, oven, water heater, foot pump, 12v. fridge unit, load sensing charger (3yrs) taking care of all 3 batterys. New foam in the v birth (admiral sleeps good).

Here is the BIGGEST DEAL ABOUT IT ALL.  We are going sailing for A MONTH STRAIGHT , we are closing our business for a month and taking off.  We have slaved and succeded in this dog boarding and grooming business for 2 1/2 years and after family tragedies we dicided to GET OUT THERE  even if it is just Lake Michigan,  a prelude to the big trip to come.  We want to: sail past the Statue of Liberty, anchor off St. Augustine (sister there), sail under the Dunlawton bridge (Daytona, lived there) and then go to the Bermuda Triangle and have it throw its shit at us!!!!  Better that than cancer!! :(  (sister).

LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT SUMMER BACK ON THE WATER!!!!         WHAT SAY YOU???????????????????????????

Re: Boat Emotions!!

Is a month enough time to sail to all those places (and back), or is this boat trailerable?
