"Namaste" (28’ Westsail) launched in May of 2003. Alex and Namaste sailed half the globe together. They explored the Bahamas, Jamaica, Colombia, Panama, and the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador before setting sail on a 30 day, non stop 3000 mile trip to the Marquises archipelago of French Polynesia. After a successful crossing they explored the Tuamotus, Tahiti, Raratonga, Bora-Bora, The Palmerston atoll (Cook Islands), Nuie, Tonga, New Caledonia, and finally Australia. Alex sold Namaste in Brisbane Australia in December of 2007 in order to upgrade to a larger boat and enhance the BlueSphere experience.
Alex returned to the United States in early 2008 after a trip to Tokyo and bought “Splendid”. Splendid is a 1973 40’ Cheoy Lee MidShipman. Splendid will launch in late 2008. Alex and Splendid will continue to explore the world and document their travels.
